FAQs All You Need To Know

FAQs From CD Media Productions.

It's almost time for your big day and we wanted you to know everything that you need to know, so here's some answers about your upcoming wedding and your video especially.

• What's the first thing you need to know?

Your Ceremony time is the central core of your day, we work everything before and after from this, so if you haven't yet confirmed it for us, do that now.

• When will you contact me?

We'll be in touch very soon, we'll be in touch about a week before your wedding.

• When will you arrive on the day?

It depends what you have booked and on your ceremony time, if you have morning preparations booked, we'll notify you of our arrival and departure times. If you have a budget package booked, we'll arrive one hour before the ceremony at your ceremony venue.

• What time does my church need opened at?

If you're getting married in a church building, it needs to be opened 90 minutes before we arrive. If it's locked, we won't be able to set up until we have access to the building.

• Will you need to do anything for us on the day?

Your video is fly on the wall and mostly natural and as it happens, but we'll ask you for a few wee things here and there to maximise your experience.

• Should my ceremony decor be set up?

Yes, your ceremony Decor and Floral Arrangements need to be in place 90 minutes before your ceremony begins.

• Do I need to prepare anything?

If you have booked morning preparations yes, have your dresses hanging up, your jewellery, shoes and anything other little details you want filmed, laid out. If you have booked from the Arrivals onwards, then you don't need to do anything.

• Will you put a microphone on me?

On the Groom yes, we'll put one on for your vows only, so no need to worry about the rest of your day.

• What will you film?

If it moves, we film it, if it doesn't move, we film it. So basically every little detail you have will be captured, you don't need to worry about anything, we'll get it.

• What about my venue, what info do you need on that?

If in a large hotel, we need to know what Ballroom you're in for your reception, the suite that your ceremony is being held in, if your whole day is at the venue and in the case where your venue has multiple entrances, the entrance you will arrive at. Other venues like Specialist Wedding Venues usually all have designated rooms and it's likely we have already wore the t-shirt, so no need to worry there. But if you intend to get married outdoors, you'll need to inform us, so we can have the appropriate sound equipment in place for you.

• How many videographers will be at my wedding?

All our packages have one videographer included, apart from our Blockbuster Package that has two videographers included.

• Do I need to supply a meal for my videographer/videographer's?

Yes, it's in your agreement to supply a meal for our staff on the day on all our packages, unless you have booked the Ceremony Package. The preferred option is a bar meal where possible, it's cheaper.

• What time will you leave at?

We'll leave once your package has been completed and/or your ceremony end time if it hasn't.

• What happens if my first dance hasn't been completed before my package end time?

Don't worry, you can upgrade and add an extra hour to your package for Only £100 on the night, we'll not run off on you.

• When will I get my Content Creation Behind The Scenes Reel?

It will be uploaded before we leave your venue, in a rare case of no Internet connection in the modern age, we'll do that as soon as we get home.

• What's the actual difference between Content Creation and your proper video?

Your Content Creation Behind The Scenes Reel is filmed like any other Content Creator does, on a mobile phone. It's filmed alongside your Professional Video Footage. Your proper video is filmed with Professional Video and Audio equipment and to put it into perspective for you, a mobile phone has a sensor (the device that captures the amount of light that enters a camera lens, the quality) is about the size of the end of a ball point pen. The sensor in our Professional Cinematic Cameras is about 2 inches across, about 2000 times larger than your mobile phone sensor. So yes, this shows how important it is to have your proper video and not just Content Creation at a wedding, but of course your Behind The Scenes Reel on the night of the wedding will be specifically designed to play on your mobile and your main video will be designed to play on your 65" TV.

• Where is my Content Creation based?

It Social Media based, so it will be on our Instagram page and you'll be able to share that to any of your Social Media profiles.

• Is there anything you won't film?

If you are having something happen and you haven't got it booked, then we won't film it. For example, mid evening entertainment during your dinner or prior to your first dance, isn't included in our packages, as this is our break time. This includes things like singing waiters, comedians, hypnotists and similar entertainment. You can add our Entertainment Package for £150 at any time. If however you have booked our Blockbuster Package, then you have one hour of Entertainment in that and you can use some of that time between Entertainment and/or dancing.

• When will I get my full video and any extras I have booked?

Your full video takes between two and three months from your wedding date, but ensure you have completed your Credits and Music Form on Luxury Wedding Packages, and on Budget Packages like The Traditional, ensure you have sent us your five song choices. If you haven't done this on time (One month before your wedding), your video will be delayed. If you have a Social Media Reel or Highlights to get, you'll get them within the three month gap between your wedding and your full video arriving. Once each is ready, we'll contact you right away, so you don't need to worry about keeping in touch, you'll be the first to know.

• How will I get to watch my video?

It depends what Package you booked, our budget packages like the Traditional have an Online Download Link sent to you, you can download this multiple times on multiple devices. Our Luxury Wedding Packages, like the Feature Film and Blockbuster Packages have a USB included. This is by far the superior option and you'll have a physical copy in your hands.

• What can I do with my USB?

A USB is included in our Feature Film and Blockbuster Packages, you can plug it straight into your TV and play it, you can plug it into a Laptop or PC and, play it or copy it, you can then make more USBs of your own for family and friends. For full information on this, including things you should never do, go to the My Wedding page at our website.

• What's on my USB?

Your full video, your YouTube Highlights and your Social Media Reel.

• How long will my full video last?

Your full video will vary on package, the Blockbuster Package can be 2.5 to 3 Hours long depending on the length of your ceremony, speeches and party. Again other packages depend on your main events, the Feature Film can be up to 90 minutes, the Traditional averages at 60 to 75 minutes and our cheaper Budget Packages like The Ceremony Package and Reception Package can be 30 minutes and 1 Hour respectively.

• How about my reels and/or Highlights?

Reels are usually 1 minute teasers, Content Creation Behind The Scenes Reels are usually 1 to 2 minutes long and YouTube Highlights are anything up to 5 minutes long.

• I'm wondering if my videographer knows what they're doing?

Well our owner Chris has 20 years experience and has over 1000 weddings under his belt and our other videographers are on 500 plus weddings, so yeah, they can do it with their eyes closed.

• And finally, i'm nervous as heck?
